Harnessing the Healing of Embodied Expression
our mission
We believe that moving our bodies is a reliable portal to healing — awakening us to the multi-sensory feeling of being at home in our bodies.
We believe that moving our bodies creates a renewable ‘feedback loop’ of joy — a celebration of life that inspires creativity & flow states.
We believe that moving together connects us to the nectar of the human experience where we can feel at one — within ourselves, and with one another.
A Little About Us
Hi, I’m Yarrow King. I’m passionate about helping people thrive through movement.
Informed by my life’s work as a Pilates teacher, African Diaspora dance teacher, and Licensed Massage Therapist — and fueled by compassionate curiosity — I’ve helped thousands of people looking to feel more alive, free, and resilient in their bodies.
Together with my husband, master drummer Lassina Doumbya, we’ve designed the studio’s offerings to help you access the joy-for-life that comes from simply moving your body.
We would love to see you in the studio soon!
Meet Yarrow
“In my 25 years of working holistically with bodies — and the minds that help shape them — my steady goal is to empower us to discover our capacity, to expand beyond limiting beliefs, and to thrive!”
— Yarrow
Hands-on, heart-centered instruction, informed by 20+ years as a Licensed Massage Therapist and dance teacher.
Yarrow is a Fletcher Pilates Certified Teacher. She began her career in Pilates studying and teaching at the international headquarters for the Fletcher Pilates school. Surrounded by the director, lead faculty, and visiting teachers from around the globe, she immersed herself fully in this profoundly comprehensive approach to Pilates.
Yarrow’s career as a massage therapist spanned over 20 years. During that time, she was the director of Providence Institute Massage School, where she also taught massage technique, movement integration, and interpersonal communication.
Yarrow has studied extensively, taught, and performed dance throughout the western United States, Cuba, the Caribbean, and Brazil. In her dance classes, she brings focus to deep and joyful movement from the core. She brings this approach to Pilates to help students deepen mind-body integration, grow stronger, and, as Joseph Pilates wrote in Return to Life: live life “with spontaneous zest and pleasure”.
